This is a much better/more efficient epilator than the last. I’ve tried the Braun once and now I understand that’s not how epilating is supposed to be! I’m so glad now that my previous epilator spontaneously stopped working because otherwise I would never have known there was a far better and more time efficient product, for less!

I actually had the piece on backward for the majority of the first use and noticed that it seemed to snag the skin and subsequently shut itself off more than I am used to but then realized I had it on backwards. Even while using it the wrong way it worked WAY better than my old one. It stays charged for a whole body epilate, which now doesn’t take that long. The charging cable looks similar to the Panasonic charging cable so I am worried it might suffer the same fate Of spontaneously no longer charging/turning on at some point (hope not!). But if it does I’ll be honest I’ll probably order another of the same one right away, it’s great! I also use a hair inhibitor spray now right after which I’m hoping keeps the hair from growing back as the reviews say it does.

This is speaking for the epilator on my legs only because I haven’t used the trimmer and shaver. Yes it obviously hurts because it’s pulling out your hairs! Whoever says it doesn’t juro is either lying, lover of pain, or has a high pain threshold. BUT, I will say that when you pull on your skin/fat in the opposite direction while using the epilator, it helps. Stretch it as much as you can and it’ll be easier to use. After a while of using it, it’s somewhat tolerable. What really helps is to use it while you are in the prickly stage or before that stage. It really does remove those tiny hairs that wax doesn’t get. If you use it on longer hair, it will hurt like a mother!!!

If you really can’t stand it, maybe try a topical numbing cream?? I hate shaving because I always get red bumps and cuts. My skin is too sensitive for shaving. I really like that I don’t have to spend money on waxing. It’s been about one week and so far my legs are still smooth. As soon as I feel a little prickly I will use the epilator to control any hairs.

The only con about this machine is the battery life. It takes me longer to use it so I have to stop, charge it, and continue.

My next areas to try are my armpits and pubic area. Wish me luck.

Let me start by saying I am extremely hairy. I’m not ashamed to say that I gave up on shaving because my hair would grow back within a day. Desperate for something that wasn’t as expensive as salon waxing or as messy as home sugaring/waxing, I started looking at electric razors and epilators. My final decision was to go with this epilator. The battery lasted an hour for my first session of hair removal. It works best if your leg hair is a quarter inch or .5 centimeters long. As long as you go slow and hold it at 90 degrees, every hair is perfectly plucked. My first session was as painful as waxing. My second session a week later was only mildly annoying and took 40 minutes. My third session two weeks later was painless. Having waxed before, I knew what I was getting into. There’s going to be pain, but it was totally worth it to me to get to a point where I have smooth legs for two weeks after a month of use. The trimmer is also awesome, and you can create precise shapes with it. This is the first summer in years where I’ve been able to wear shorts and bathing suits with confidence.
